Gerald Stush, 76, Of Pearl River

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Gerald Stush, Pearl River, died Nov. 17. He was 76.

He was born in Plymouth, Pa. to the late Anna and John Stush. 

He attended Larksville High School and Kings College and worked for Verizon in management for 37 years. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force,was a Grand Knight of Council 9165, Knights of Columbus and a member of The American Legion in Pearl River. He enjoyed coaching Little League, umpiring, the New York Rangers, western movies and watching his grandchildren's sporting events.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Kerri Lynn; and sister, Carol Sankus. 

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann; children, William (Alison), Jennifer (Michael) Shannon and Patricia (Thomas) Doran; brother, John P. (Audrey) Stush; and grandchildren, Jack and Nicholas Shannon and Kevin and Riley Stush.

Visiting will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Assumma-Shankey Funeral Home, 34 N Summit St., Pearl River. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church, 120 Kings Highway, Tappan. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
